Cruise West H1 N1 Statement

July 14, 2009

We are aware that there has been much recent news coverage about the H1N1 flu. Cruise West considers the safety, comfort and security of our guests and crew as top priorities.
We will continue to monitor the situation and take action if necessary.

Travel agents and guests with questions may contact our reservations department at 1-888-851-8133. Fortunately, there currently are no reports of guests exhibiting any symptoms of H1N1 flu on any of Cruise West’s ships. Lastly and most important for guests currently onboard one of our vessels, if you or any members of your party are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please contact the Hotel Manager immediately. While it is highly unlikely it would be H1N1 flu, any type of flu does pose risks to your wellbeing.

Cruise West enforces the highest of standards for cleaning and sanitizing all of our ships and will continue to do so to minimize the spread of any contagious disease. In addition, our ships adhere to CDC guidelines for reporting, treatment and isolation of patients with all types of "reportable" infectious diseases even when the ships are out of U.S. territorial waters.

Guests who are obviously ill from a contagious infectious disease are not permitted to embark our ships. We encourage you to practice healthy habits to help stop the spread of germs by washing your hands often with soap and water and using the waterless alcohol-based hand gels (containing at least 60% alcohol) when soap is not available and hands are not visibly dirty. Sanitizers may be found near the Lounges and Dining Rooms of every ship and is approved for this purpose.
