Whales Guaranteed!
Whales are guaranteed to be sighted on any Alaska's Whales & Wilderness cruise. If a whale is not sighted on your voyage, Cruise West will refund $250 of your cruise price after you return home. That's a promise we made 6 years ago, and one we've kept. Happily, we've never had to make good on our guarantee. We don't expect to on your cruise either.







Air Program

Book air that’s refundable and changeable. Cruise West’s established partnerships with key U.S. airlines provide you with air arrangements that make a great addition to your vacation planning. Request your flights at the same time as your land and sea arrangements to ensure smooth connections throughout your trip.

Unlike most airline tickets, our air tickets are changeable and even refundable in most cases. Prior to departure, you can decide to extend your stay, either pre- or post-tour, or interrupt your homeward journey with a few days’ stopover for a minimal fee. That is just the kind of flexibility that allows the peace of mind and feeling of security you want during your vacation.

Make your air arrangements with us to ensure smooth connections for your “Meet & Greet” upon arrival. The Cruise West Air Program is available from over 60 U.S. gateway cities. Cruise West’s air tickets are changeable in most instances. However, applicable change fees will apply after the initial schedule assignment. First class and business class upgrades are available for purchase. Mileage upgrades are not permitted due to airline restrictions. Customized air arrangements are available for a nominal fee. Applicable Frequent Flyer miles may be accrued through purchase of our tickets and late bookings may be accommodated at our regular fares, providing space is available.

Schedules & Routings

We reserve the right to select the carrier, fare structure and routing. Occasionally, a routing or late schedule change may require an overnight stay. Additional expenses such as accommodations, meals or transportation are the responsibility of the guest.

Changes & Refunds
Changes are subject to availability of the specific class of service used. We reserve the right to alter your flight arrangements when necessary. Please confirm flight itineraries with the airline prior to departure, as schedule changes do occur. Tickets purchased from Cruise West are refundable only through us. The maximum refund for unused flight coupons shall not exceed the air add-on paid to us. All tickets must be returned to Cruise West for processing.

Availability
The number of air seats available from each city is limited and may be withdrawn from sale without notice. In the event that we are unable to secure air seats due to conditions beyond our control, we reserve the right to withdraw our air add-on offer.







Single Travelers and Single Share Program

Traveling solo? Single travelers easily find themselves at home amid the casual camaraderie of a small-ship cruise. Throughout our cruise routes, we welcome single travelers in a variety of ways.

Singles travel at the twin rate in B or C cabins aboard the Spirit of Columbia or the Spirit of Alaska. The Spirit of ‘98 and Spirit of Discovery both offer single cabins. In addition, single rates are available on all cabins and all departures, at a surcharge over the twin price.

Single Share Program
If you book a single-share cabin in one of the eligible categories listed below, you are guaranteed to travel in that category (or perhaps even higher) at the twin price.

You receive a confirmed reservation, but a specific cabin may not be assigned until you board the ship. There is a chance that you may receive a complimentary upgrade, in order to be matched with another single traveler. However, the only way to guarantee a higher category room or suite is to book in that category.

In booking a single-share cabin, you may end up alone in a cabin – but could, and most likely will, be rooming with another solo traveler. Single-shares are always of the same sex, in a stateroom or suite with two beds. However, no additional personal information will be provided in advance.

Stowaway Program

If your travel dates are flexible - that is, if you are free to travel with 30 days' notice - we invite you to become a last-minute "Stowaway" and save 25% on your cruise fare. Just choose your cruise itinerary, cabin category and a 30-day travel window and make a $700 per person deposit. We’ll give you at least 30 days notice of the date we’ve chosen for you and we’ll take 25% off the regular price!

If you accept the date offered, your payment of 75% of the published fare must be made in full by credit card within 24 hours. We will email you a confirmation. Once full payment is made, the standard Cruise West cancellation policies apply.

If you decline the date offered, your deposit can be applied to a future cruise but is not refundable.

Or, you can elect to receive Cruise West travel coupons in the amount of the deposit to be used toward any Cruise West destination within 24 months of issue. These travel coupons are transferable but not refundable. Stowaway availability is limited and your choice of ship, departure dates, sailing direction (northbound or southbound) and cabin category are not guaranteed. If we are unable to offer you a departure date and cabin category within your 30-day travel window, we will refund your deposit in full.

Cruise West past guests, Quyana Club Members, may apply an additional 5% savings. The Stowaway Program may not be combined with group savings or other offers. This offer is valid for the cruise only; when booking cruise/land tours, the 25% savings is only on the cruise portion. Other restrictions may apply.

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel protection at the time of your booking as cancellations0-30 days prior to departure forfeit 100% of the cruise price. Air arrangements are your own responsibility but we may be able to assist with last minute air arrangements from many Cruise West gateway cities.
