Listed below is a brief description of he Dietary Requests that can be accommodated on board most of our vessels, some hotels and land tours.
Meal: Bland-Non Spicy:
Meals will be prepared without salt, pepper, herbs spices and marinades. Meals will also be prepared with a minimum of acidic ingredients such as vinegar, wine and citrus juices.
Meal Diabetic:
Meals will be prepared with minimum of carbohydrates, fats and alcohd.
Meal Low Cholesterol:
Meals will be prepared with a minimum of saturated fats. This includes eggs, animal fats or oils and dairy products.
Meal Low Fat:
Meals will be prepared with a minimum of eggs, animal or vegetable fats or oils.
Meal Sodium Free:
Meals will be prepared with no salt or a minimum of salt or seasoning mixes containing salt.
Meal Low Calorie:
Meals may contain a minimum of fat, alcohol, oils or other high calorie food products.
Meal Lactose Free:
Meals will be prepared without lactose (the sugar in milk products).
Meal Gluten Free / Celiac:
Will be prepared without wheat, rye, barley or oats or any products containing these items.
Meal: Food Allergies
Meals will be prepared to avoid using food allergens that can cause abnormal immune system responses. Please be specific.
Meal Vegetarian:
Meals will be prepared without animal flesh, and may or may not contain dairy products or eggs. Vegetarians meals will also not contain any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustaceans or slaughtered by-products such as gelatin or animal fats.
May also include:
Lacto-ovo-vegetarian may eat dairy products and eggs.
Lacto-vegetarian may eat diary but no eggs.
Ovo-vegetarian may eat eggs but no diary products.
Meal: Alternative Vegetarian:
Does not eat diary products, eggs, or any other animal products. Some may choose not to eat honey.
