Seattle, WA, September 21, 2005 – Cruise West, the largest-American owned cruise line, is offering a savings of up to $1,800 per person for reservations on its 2006 Alaskan itineraries. The Early Booking Savings value is available to any guest who books by December 9, 2005.* For cruises scheduled to depart through June 15, 2006, savings range from $200 to $1,600 per person, and for any departure after June 15, 2006, guests can save between $100 and $800 per person if booked by the deadline – those who pay in-full by the December deadline will receive an additional savings of $100 or $200 per person, depending on the itinerary.
Some examples include:
- Cruise West’s 2006 Grand Voyages itineraries, where guests have the opportunity to trace Edward Henry Harriman’s scientific expedition of 1899 and travel by inflatable excursion craft as Jacques Cousteau once did through Alaska’s wildlife wonderland with the option of 12- to 25-day cruises. For In Harriman’s Wake, Cruise West guests can save $1,600 per person on the May 28 departure and $800 per person on the June 19, July 13 and August 4, 2006 departures. The Coastal Odyssey itineraries and Voyage to the Bering Sea itineraries departing prior to June 15 offer savings of $800 per person; the Coastal Odyssey cruises and Voyage to the Bering Sea cruises sailing after June 15 provide guests with a $400 savings. (For any of these departure cutoffs, guests can save an additional $200 if booked and paid in full by the deadline.)
- The Alaska Inside Passage, Wilderness Inside Passage, Gold Rush Inside Passage and Glacier Bay Highlights “C” Cruise/Land- Tour, and Best of Both Worlds itineraries take Cruise West guests on an Alaskan voyage through icy fjords and glaciers and small sounds along narrow waterways. For Cruise West departures on six of the eight small vessels leaving prior to June 15, guests can save $400 per person. For departures after June 15, guests can book by the deadline for a $200 savings. (For either departure cutoff, guests can save an additional $100 if booked and paid in full by the deadline.)
- On the Glacier Bay Highlights and Inside Passage Daylight Yacht Tour cruise itineraries, guests have the chance to thoroughly explore Glacier Bay National Park. By adding a “B” or “D” land tour to their cruise, guests will experience Denali National Park and stay at some of the most beautiful and remote inns and lodges in Alaska. On these itineraries, Cruise West offers a $200 savings for those who book by December 9 for departures before June 15 and $100 for departures after June 15. (For all departures, guests may save an additional $100 per person if payments are complete by the same deadline.)
At Cruise West, taxes, port charges, fees and onboard services are all included in itinerary prices. Guests are neither expected nor required to tip for onboard services.
